Self Discovery

People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates. ~Thomas Szasz, "Personal Conduct," The Second Sin, 1973

Hyouka

For some reason this anime kinda reminded me of Haruhi Suzumiya. It was centered around a club called The Classics Club where basically there were only four members. Very similiar HUH? Anyway they basically solved a new mystery in every episode which was cool because the mysterious were actually interesting. I liked the characters, i wasn't annoyed by them. I'm not sure if this is a completed anime because of how it ended. It had 11 episodes. I don't often watch mystery animes but this one was alright, I'm trying to find other genres i like besides slice of life romantic comedies.

Anime weekend! Romeo and Juliet

At first I said who doesn't know the story of Romeo and Juliet, but then as i started watching this i realized it wasn't the same old story. I was surprised at how the story was altered and soo i just had to watch this completely! I fell in love with the characters, and i enjoyed the adventure and fantasy feel to this anime. The character William Shakespeare was really interesting I truly loved how they did this version of Romeo and Juliet, and i would have loved to watch this in school for literature! much more fun.

Addicted?

I can't stop re-watching lovely complex......
Maybe it's cuz i could relate to so much of her feelings~
Or...maybe i just see something in this character i really want?
Well duh i think every girl wants this lovely complex lol
....................................
This anime turned out to be more than just my number one anime. It's now what i go to when i'm feeling down. When i want to laugh a lil... when i have a similar situation going through..,, not that its ever as similar as her situation, it truly is a special anime to me....i hope i never get tired of it, even though i've probably watched it more than i can count :)
so.. yea..i'm gonna watch it again lol after my exams...though i've been watching a few eps already....gosh.. maybe i am addicted but....whatever!

This anime was extremely sweet! But the first season is only about 11 episodes!
I'm not sure whether or not there is a second season but i hope there is although i've been hearing that the manga is much better and in the manga she's grown much further than in the anime! which i very much want to see! Mainly about a man whose now caring for a young girl who they think is his aunt (weird right) but i don't think so but i hope to find out soon!!

Minami-ke sisters!!!!

One of my favourites ^_^. Three sisters leaving together basically raised by the eldest sister Haruka. Kana is my favourite because she's so lol..am not even sure how to put it. she's always energetic and her stupidity is so comic! Not to mention how incredible Dense she is. There are three seasons and up to the ending she still doesnt realize Fujioka a guy from her school has a Crush and not a Grudge on her. Chiaka is the youngest sister and she acts real mature for her age but i love all of their personalities! Tell me what you thought in the comment box thingy :)

His and Her circumstances (Kare Kano)

This one has 26 episodes
was about a girl who was good at everything and finally had to beat this dude who was her competition who she eventually ended up liking. To me the beginning was the best before they liked each other. I like how its drawn and everything and its real funny minus the occasional dragging episodes.Check it out for yourself and tell me if u liked..am not the best at summaries hehe.

Peach Girl!

summary

Adachi Momo is a girl whose tanned skin and bleached hair gets her into all sorts of trouble with those who assume she's a tanning salon-hopping tramp. It doesn't help that her "best friend", Kashiwagi Sae, couldn't be less of a friend. Sae is constantly stealing Momo's fashion sense, and Momo trys to avoid mentioning her crush on Toujigamori "Touji" Kazuya (can't have Sae stealing her hopes of dating *him* too, right?)

In doing so, Momo gets caught in a lie when she points to a random guy and tells Sae she likes him. Turns out he is Okayasu Kairi (Kiley), a smart-mouthed joker with a playboy reputation ... who sees right through Sae and immediately starts going after Momo's attention.

What sort of mess has Momo gotten herself into now?

I absolutely loved the drama in this anime. It will have you arguing at the screen!!!

Skip Beat!

OK now this one might be a so-so to some people but it was still great although i can't remeber all the details. Here's the stuff

Description

Skip-Beat! is about Kyoko Mogami, a wistful yet cheery sixteen year-old girl who loves her childhood friend, Shotaro, but is cruelly betrayed and thus seeks revenge against him. She used to spend a lot of time at Shotaro's parents' inn and learned a lot about housekeeping, hostelry, and other feminine jobs (sewing, cooking, serving tea traditionally, etc.). Shotaro, not wishing to take over his parents' inn, becomes bored of living in Kyoto and decides to move to Tokyo to pursue a career in music. Sho, as he is called by his fans, asks Kyoko to leave high school in Kyoto Prefecture and her life behind to help him. Upon arrival in Tokyo, Kyoko lives an unreasonably frugal life, spending nothing on herself and doing whatever she can for the freeloading Sho, who eventually becomes ranked seventh in the top twenty most popular entertainers of Japan. One day, however, as Kyoko brings Sho his lunch at a company building, she overhears Shotaro complaining about her to his manager, saying that she is a boring and plain girl with no sex appeal that he'd like to cast away. He then proceeds to sweet-talk and flirt with his manager, in stark contrast to the cold and demanding attitude he usually exhibits towards Kyoko. Unlike other heroines in the same situation, Kyoko doesn't shed many tears when she learns that Sho thinks she's only good for housekeeping. Instead, her "Pandora's box" opens and she vows vengeance on Sho. Enraged, Kyoko attempts to attack Sho, but is instantly carried off by security. Sho mockingly tells her that if she wants revenge, she had better become a bigger star than him. And so, Kyoko, vowing revenge, changes her appearance and enters the entertainment business, facing many challenges along the way. Skip Beat! follows Kyoko's journey to climb the showbiz ladder as she meets interesting people, in the hopes of getting revenge on Shotaro, but also in order to get back her sense of compassion that she had lost when her heart was broken by Sho.

Lovely complex

I don't know where to start with this one. It is defiantly a teenage thing am not sure if adults would like. It was so refreshing and FUNNY 5/5 and nothing less. One of my favorites it was very short which was OK with me because i don't have much time on my hands. It's a must see!! i know i'll be saying that allot but really it was incred! of course you know from the beginning who is going to be together but that doesn't matter cause everything else just fits!!

Plot Summary: Risa Koizumi, taller than the average girl, and Atsushi Ootani, shorter than the average guy - their constant bickering and comical love-hate relationship is well-known throughout the school. They act similarly and love the same music, and their friendship is full of laughing, shouting at each other, and of course, lots of jokes about one another's height. But when Risa notices her feelings for Ootani growing, she's worried. She doesn't know if he can ever see her as more than a friend. With her friends rooting for her, she struggles to make him see how she feels about him, and that a romantic relationship between a tall girl and a short guy can work. Oblivious Ootani doesn't make things easy for her, but she stubbornly perseveres in her own unconventional way, determined for her feelings to get through to him, and finally be returned. If only she could do it without driving herself and everyone else crazy in the process...

yep it was awesome
